Ford Has Opened a New Engine in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Ford Brazil, an arm of US-based automaker Ford, has introduced a new engine, Duratec Direct Flex 2.0, featuring direct injection technology in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Duratec Direct 2.0 engine, developed using Brazilian engineering and equipped with the New Focus Sedan, can be fueled with both ethanol and gasoline.

This new engine supports accurate electronic control of the fuel mixture. It improves engine output for maximum power with efficiency and lower cost.

In addition, ignition system of this new engine ensures enable quick start in any situation, without the need of additional features.

Ford corporate affairs vice-president Rogelio Golfarb was quoted by Inautonews as saying: "The New Focus Duratec 2.0 Direct Flex is the first engine worldwide with this technology, especially developed for Brazil."

"It's another example of Ford's pioneering initiative in engines, to offer the best in performance and fuel saving," Golfarb added.

The automotive giant will roll out the New Focus Sedan into Brazilian market soon.
