Finnish company Eltete TPM Engineering is all set to deliver PaperRoll-to-PaperPallet & automatic paper pallet assembly (APPA) technology to Nagoya in Japan.
According to the company, the capacity of the plant, which will be delived in spring 2013, will be about three million cartonboard pallets annually.
The transaction will allow the manufacture of cartonboard pallets, components and transport packaging materials in Japan and also opens the Japanese market up to more factories.
Eltete sales director of technology Marko Virtanen said the third-generation plant is compact in size and can be fit into relatively small production units.
"In fact, one person can run the newest generation of the APPA pallet factory on his or her own," Virtanen said.
The company's own production network covers 21 factories in 15 different countries currently.
