InvenSense, the MEMS motion sensor specialist, has signed a pan-European distribution agreement with Avnet Memec.
“Aligning with InvenSense is very exciting as they have industry-leading MEMS sensors, and their 6- and 9-axis MotionTracking devices are particularly compelling and innovative,” said Steve Haynes, president of Avnet Memec.
“I believe InvenSense is poised to open new and exciting opportunities for both organisations throughout Europe,” said Haynes.
"The demand for our products is growing throughout the pan-European region,” said Behrooz Abdi, president and CEO of InvenSense.
The US-based firm's devices can combine the outputs from motion sensors such as gyroscopes, accelerometers, compasses and pressure sensors into a single data stream for use as input commands, thereby simplifying the design process.
