Lyst the personalized fashion marketplace that allows users to create a customized shopping feed of products from their favorite designers and stores announced the launch of the company's first mobile application. The new app will combine all the functionality of the website with the convenience of browsing and shopping from the site's 7,000 designers, on the iPhone.
"With Lyst's mobile traffic almost tripling since the beginning of 2012, the launch of the iPhone app will allow our growing number of mobile customers to shop from their phones more seamlessly than ever," said Chris Morton , CEO of Lyst. "The app will deliver a more immersive and easy-to-use shopping experience for Lyst customers on-the-go."
Next week, Lyst will launch the 'Runway Tracking' feature on the app, allowing people to view looks from the Fall/Winter 2013 Fashion Week collections in London, Milan and Paris within 24 hours after they show. Lyst customers can then add the looks to their own 'lyst' to be notified the moment the items become available for purchase, anywhere in the world. Collections shown during New York Fashion Week will also be available.
Lyst currently draws 1.5 million unique visitors every month, driving tens of millions of dollars in sales to the retailers and designers it partners with around the world. At the beginning of 2012, mobile accounted for 8% of Lyst's overall site traffic and grew to 25% by the end of the year. In addition, since October 2012, sales leads generated on mobile have grown ten-fold.
The Lyst mobile app can be downloaded for free on the iPhone App Store.
