Schulz Organic Farms has recalled its full cream milk in Australia as it may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, according to the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).
The product associated with the recall is 1 liter and 2 liter bottles of Schulz Organic Full Cream Milk with Use By Date of 22 August 2013.
This recalled product from Australia was distributed to small independent supermarkets and small health food shops across Victoria.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled product are advised to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund, as the consumption of the product may cause illness.
Listeria monocytogenes can cause illness in certain groups of people, including pregnant women, unborn and newborn babies, and anyone with reduced immunity, particularly the over-60s.
