A guitar owned and signed by Queen guitarist Brian May will be up for grabs at the UK Lingerie Awards 2013 in association with Fashion Forms, with 100% of the sale price being donated to charity Breast Cancer Campaign through Rock & Ribbon, an initiative run by model Elle Liberachi.
The guitar will be on display at the UK Lingerie Awards on Wednesday night (December 4th), which will be held by business magazine Lingerie Insight at the Freemasons' Hall in London.
Guests will be able to place bids through iPads but those not in attendance at the UK lingerie industry's most glamorous celebration of the year can place bids online.
Elle Liberachi, who has posed for a steamy shoot wearing the guitar and lingerie and fashion garments by brands Agent Provocateur, Fred & Ginger, Saint Laurent, Nailberry and Versace, will be at the UK Lingerie Awards to show off the guitar and speak to guests about the charity.
She said: “My first breast cancer awareness campaign was for Debenhams at the age of 20. It was so humbling to be chosen to front a campaign to support such an important cause. Since then I have had the opportunity throughout my career to work with brands and companies that aid the research of non-profit organisations such as Breast Cancer Campaign and it is truly inspiring that these brands continually lend their support to really help make a change for both women and men.
"Rock and Ribbon is a play on words to wear your Pink Ribbon, support it and be strong and courageous while also appealing to today’s generation. When Brian May offered to help me on this campaign, it was a dream come true. I couldn’t have asked for more of an iconic musician and he definitely epitomises rock 'n' roll."
The auction will be open from December 4th to December 17th with all bidding taking place online at rockandribbon.org. The details of the winner and the final total will be announced on lingerieinsight.com on December 18th.
