Global beverage can manufacturing company Rexam has announced that the company produced its 100-millionth 24oz can for The Genesee Brewery in the US.
In 2010, Rexam initially started supplying 24oz cans for single-serve versions of Genesee, when a new production line was installed by the brewery. The versions include Genny Light, Genesee Ice, Genesee Cream Ale and The Original Honey Brown Lager.
Rexam Beverage Can North America president and CEO Rich Grimley said it is another instance of how the company is serving the needs of customers for beverage cans that are of specialty size.
"We are pleased to see our partnership with the Genesee Brewery reach this milestone as we work together to provide their beers to consumers in this popular package," Grimley said.
According to Rexam, the 24oz cans are available in the US at retail locations.
The Genesee Brewery, which is part of North American Breweries, manufactures beer and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages under contracts on behalf of other companies.
