Amazon India Fashion Week, Spring-Summer edition hosted by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) will run from October 14-18, 2015, while Autumn-Winter edition will be held from March 16-20, 2016.
“These bi-annual events organised by the FDCI are a momentous opportunity for greenhorns, as well as established designers to showcase their ingenuity to a judicious audience,” FDCI said in a press release.
Sunil Sethi, president at FDCI said, "We are delighted to announce the dates for the next two seasons of the AIFW.”
“We have established a landmark completing more than a decade-and-a-half in creating a global handprint for the Indian fashion industry and we aspire to take progressive strides in the coming years,” Sethi added.
Vikas Purohit, head, Amazon Fashion, India said, “After a successful conclusion of the Amazon India Fashion Week, we look forward to the upcoming two seasons.”
“We will continue to work with the fashion fraternity closely to help them take advantage of the digital economy and remain committed towards our goal of transforming the way India shops & sells fashion,” he too added.
A non-profit organisation, FDCI, is the apex body of fashion design in India, represented by over 350 members.
