German automobile manufacturer Opel has revealed its new Monza Concept vehicle that is scheduled to make its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show to be held during 12-22 September 2013.
The new concept, which is part of the company's DRIVE! 2022 strategy, is claimed to be equipped with a new powertrain system and based on two themes including connectivity and efficiency.
Opel plans to design the vehicles under the new concept in its Russelsheim plant using over 6,000 engineers, technicians and designers.
Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann said DRIVE!2022 is a strategy for the future of the manufacturer as a company and a brand.
"It covers a whole range of subject areas and elements, and in terms of the future of our models, we've bundled all our targets together in the Opel Monza Concept," Neumann added.
"The Monza Concept carries these elements forward in a visionary fashion, expressing them with fresh inspiration and clarity.
"This car is a study that will have a long-term impact on the next generation of Opel models."
The new vehicles that will be developed under the concept are expected to offer better connectivity with new infotainment systems.
Features of the concept will include specially designed three-dimensional hood, headlamp with two characteristic blades under it and the new Opel logo with winglets at its tips.
