Dales Dairies Attempt to Open New Facility in Keighley

The Town Head Farm based Dales Dairies is planning to start a dairy processing, packaging and distribution operation in Keighley, England.

The company has published early-stage proposals for this project and is expected to relocate part or all of its business to Keighley if the project proceeds further, Craven Herald and Pioneer reported.

Dales Dairies operations development manager Paul Mason was quoted by Craven Herald and Pioneer as saying: "Part of the application was retrospective so we were already operating there. We had small level of capacity, but we quickly reached that.

"The business is still growing and it cannot grow where it is now. We have not taken this decision lightly."

The new facility would be in a vacant Aireworth Distribution Centre, off Aireworth Road.

According to Dales Dairies, the site has been selected due to its proximity to important transport links, a convenient layout and the large, existing modern buildings, the news report said.

Established in 1938 by William Oversby, the diary company obtained the trading name of "Dales Dairies" in January 2011.
