Reusable transport packaging systems manufacturer Rehrig Pacific has introduced new PUBKEG program, a per-trip 1/6th barrel rental solution for breweries and wineries.
The program is expected to help breweries and wineries to ship full kegs, while Rehrig will handle their tracking, return as well as recycling.
The program, which provides a new and pristine package, will help in increasing sales, expand geographic reach, reduce costs and free up capital allowing companies to serve more customers with a predictable COGS.
PUBKEGs, which are designed using a standard US Sankey style valve, are fully recyclable, and full kegs are an OSHA friendly 49 pounds for safer manual handling.
Rehrig Pacific beer, wine and spirits industry manager Leslie LeMair said the PUBKEG program compliments and expands brewer's existing cooperage floats and lowers fees throughout the supply chain.
"Rely on Rehrig to reduce worries about keg management so you can focus on production and opening new markets coast to coast for your beer or wine," LeMair added.
Rehrig produces packaging systems for beer, wine, spirits, grocery, retail, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, agriculture, and recycling and waste industries.
