Arup Has Purchased AGA CAD Network Licenses and Started Implementing Them

AGA CAD Ltd. is pleased to announce the strategic partnership between Arup, the global engineering and design firm and AGA CAD, a developer of BIM solutions and Revit extensions under the tools4revit? trademark. The people at Arup are driven to find a better way to work and to use the best design software. This month Arup has purchased AGA CAD network licenses in bulk and started implementing them throughout the entire company.

"As we are a multi-discipline design practice, the Revit suite was a natural fit for our Buildings practice and we have standardised on this over the last few years. The addition of the tools4revit suite from AGA CAD has helped us fill in the gaps that are in the software when applied to our design methodology", says Carl Collins, CAD Manager at Arup Associates, the unified design group within Arup.

Arup has been looking for productivity-boosting BIM solutions for a long time. Carl Collins, Arup CAD Manager, explains "We looked at various solutions, from interacting directly with Autodesk, to authoring our own tools in-house, both of which have improved our efficiency and the base product. But the tools4revit suite has added many of the tools that we need, at a fraction of the cost of writing them internally and with a speed of response that very large organisations like Autodesk could not achieve".

Arup is one of the world's pioneering practices in sustainable design, known for enabling realisation of the world's most amazing buildings. Firm employees design sustainability into every stage of the project, this is why delivery of optimum software solutions is so important for the entire Arup team. Easy to use, flexible and powerful AGA CAD tools attracted the attention of Arup designers.

"AGA CAD develops BIM solutions to match the existing demands of Autodesk Revit users worldwide. We are extremely happy that such a large design company as Arup has noticed our BIM solutions and decided to purchase them. It is a great evaluation of tools4revit products that save designers a lot of time. We have a large wish-list of Revit end users and can offer new solutions for problem-solving. Looking forward to share our ideas in the future," comments Donatas Aksomitas, CEO of AGA CAD Ltd. Carl Collins, Arup CAD Manager, agrees with him "We are looking forward to a long working relationship with AGA CAD, helping them to help us make Revit an even more powerful tool".
