Chevrolet has reported an increased in sales of 3.1% to 1.25 million vehicles in the third quarter of 2012, compared to the same period in 2011.
In the US, the company's sales increased 2% to 485,721 vehicles in the quarter, while sales in China increased 3.4% to 152,328 units.
The company said that the growth in US deliveries was led by sales of passenger cars including monthly sales for Volt, Cruze, Sonic and Spark.
For the quarter, the company's Brazil sales increased 13.5% to 182,906 units and Russian sales rose 28.8% to 58,453 vehicles, while Mexico sales increased 14.3% to 44.387 units.
Chevrolet vice president of global marketing Chris Perry said, "Chevrolet will continue to build on the momentum of eight straight quarters of record global sales by introducing 25 new products around the world in 2013."
The company said it will launch 13 new or significantly updated models in 2013 in the US, which include Impala, Silverado light-duty pickups and SS rear-wheel drive performance sedan.
