Automotive and industrial component maker ITT has planned to invest $20m in its plant in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province of China for the expansion of braking technology production.
According to the company, the recent investment has brought the total investment in the facility to nearly $50m in the past three years.
ITT highlighted that the investment in its Motion Technologies reflects its commitment towards China, and its goal to stay prepared for the rise in demand and future opportunities in automotive market.
The company claims that the braking and friction technologies made by its Motion Technology wing are used by major passenger cars in China and around the world.
ITT's Motion Technologies business president Luca Savi said: "This is an investment for the future that reflects our strategy to further support our global and local original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and brake manufacturers with innovative and high-quality products that meet the expectations of an increasingly sophisticated customer base."
