Allied World Assurance Company Holdings (AWH) has launched a new Construction Casualty division to offer commercial general liability and commercial automobile as well as railroad protectives and owners and contractors protective.
The new division provides contractor practice programs, owner controlled insurance programs, contractor controlled insurance programs and project specific programs for its clients.
The company has also appointed Michael Conroy as vice president of Construction, who will be responsible to oversee the new division build-out and will be based in Allied World's New York office.
Conroy will report directly to the US Property and Casualty president Lou Iglesias.
Iglesias said that the company expand its current US product offerings with the launch of new Construction Casualty division.
With 17 years of experience in the insurance industry, Conroy served the home office of Construction Risk Management at the American International Group (AIG) as vice president prior to the joining in Allied World.
In addition to service and underwriting for all regional offices, Conroy was responsible for budgeting, forecasting and business development for the line of business.
