German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has recorded a 15.4%increase in sales with 305,072 vehicles sold in 2012 compared to the 264,460 vehicles sold in 2011 in the US.
In December 2012,the company registered sales of 31,372 units with 12%rise from the 28,006 units sold in the same month of 2011.
Mercedes-Benz USA president and CEO Steve Cannon said that a strong product offensive backed the company's retail network's commitment to providing a world-class ownership experience put the wind at our back and enabled us to outperform the market and take the brand to new heights in the US.
"We're going to ride that momentum into 2013 with new products across the entire model line from entry point to flagship,"Steve added.
The sales of S,CL and SL-Class vehicles rose by 18.9%percent to 17,416 units and Sprinter Vans registered 39.9%increase with sales of 2,231 units by December 2012.
The smart Fortwo sales reached 996 vehicles,a 40.3%growth in December 2012 compared to corresponding month in 2011.
The sales of AMG models grew to 6,658 with 27.5%increase compared to the last year,the BlueTEC diesel model sales inclined by 7.4%with 15,416 units compared to the 14,358 sold in 2011.
