Japanese automaker Toyota will recall about 87,000vehicles in the US over a problem with the defective brakes.
The recall affects 2010 model year Toyota Prius and the Lexus HS 250h vehicles manufactured between March and October 2009.
Vehicles affected by the recall are equipped with a brake pressure accumulator that may get crack on an internal part due to vibration.
The company claims that noa cases of any accidents or injuries associated with this condition have been reported.
Under the recall, the company will check the brake booster pump assembly for the defective accumulator and will replace the brake booster pump assembly with an improved if necessary.
Earlier, the manufacturer had recalled 11,489 units of its 2007-2013 model year FJ Cruiser sports utility vehicles (SUV) that were produced from 25 January 2006 to 23 February 2013 and having the Toyota Auxiliary Driving Lamp Kits, due to a problem with the headlights.
