Global plastic packaging materials manufacturer and marketer, Berry Plastics has unveiled the new stretchable 3546A single-coated woven tape.
The latest product joins the company's offering of woven, flexible film and transfer adhesives that are used in the manufacture of pulse oximeters and other medical devices.
According to the US-based company, the new 3546A, designed for OEM/converters and patients, features a 25mil fabric backing and white rubber-based medical-grade adhesive.
Berry Plastics Medical Tapes sales director George Kontakos said a key design feature of the tape is the easy-release liner that removes quickly for converting operations as well as the woven backing that accepts ink for better print quality.
"The newly designed tape also features a specially-formulated rubber adhesive that bonds well without lifting or flagging and also removes cleanly without causing skin trauma," Kontakos said.
Berry Plastics also developed and introduced 3426B Flexible Film Tape and 3426A Transfer Adhesive recently, which join its collection of products for pulse oximetry and medical device assembly applications.
