Swedish commercial vehicle manufacturer Scania has received an order from Austrian haulier Nothegger Transport to deliver 220 trucks with biodiesel engines.
The trucks will be in compliance with Euro 6 requirements and will be for 100%biodiesel operation.Nothegger's order includes 2-axle tractors and 3-axle rigid trucks for long-haulage.
The company has also signed a Scania repair and main-tenance contract for all of the 220 vehicles ordered.
Scania trucks senior vice president Christopher Podgorski said:"Scania has invested more than any other manu-facturer in being able to offer both breadth and depth in its range of Euro 6 engines.This is clear evidence that we have correctly assessed customers'needs."
Besides this,the Austrian transport company also signed a Scania repair and main-tenance contract for all the 220 vehicles.
Scania?sterreich managing director Christian Teichmann said:"We are honoured to know that automotive engineering,distribution efficiency and quality of service at Scania were the decisive factors for Nothegger in this deal."
