Auto parts manufacturer Johnson Controls has opened a new automotive seat plant at the Grosnica Supplier Park near the city of Kragujevac in Serbia to provide complete seats for the new Fiat 500L compact MPV.
The company has also opened a new interiors plant in a joint venture with PCMA, a division of Magneti Marelli, and is located within the Fiat Automobiles Serbia (FAS) facility.
The new interiors plant produces door panels, instrument panels, floor consoles and rear quarter panels for the new car.
Johnson Controls Fiat business unit president and general manager Marzio Raveggi said: "Johnson Controls, Magneti Marelli and Fiat will all benefit from this joint venture."
Both plants supply components to the FAS facility in Kragujevac, where the Fiat 500L is assembled.
