General insurance provider AXA UK has appointed Ian Brimecome as chairman of the board with immediate effect, who has been serving as a non-executive director of the company in the UK for six years.
With more than 30 years of expertise of the financial services industry working in over 20 countries, Brimecome was elected in the AXA UK Board as a non-executive director in March 2007.
He has worked as chairman of Equitable Life Assurance Society, Kiln Group and Delphi Financial Group as well as executive chairman international of Tokio Marine Holdings, chairman of Tokio Marine North America and deputy chairman of Tokio Marine Asia.
Brimecome will succeed Anthony Hamilton, who has been chairman of the company since September 2000.
