Wegmans Food Markets is voluntarily recalling several in-store baked desserts as they may contain fresh peaches, nectarines, and/or plums, which have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
he recall comes after Wawona Packing Company has found potential presence of Listeria in the fruits during a routine test.
The products associated with the recall include Peach Melba Whipped Cream, Fruit-Topped Short Cake, Genoise Cake, Fruit-Topped Cheese Cake, Fruit-Topped Cheese Cake, and Fruit-Topped Cream Cheese Pie bearing UPC codes 7789033104, 7789032772, 7789027385, 7789026438, 7789026441, and 7789018953 respectively.
In addition, the recalled products include a wide range of tarts and pastries.
No illnesses have been reported associated with the recall.
Customers who have bought the recalled products from Wegmans between 1 June 2014 and 20 July 2014 are advised to discard the products or return them for a full refund.
