PSIPENTA Software Systems has won a contract from Volkswagen’s Brazilian subsidiary Volkswagen do Brasil to implement integrated corporate planning and control software of the tool-making at its main plant in Sao Bernardo do Campo.
Under the contract, Germany based PSI's subsidiary PSIPENTA will provide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) suite PSIpenta and a project management for the rough and medium planning, an integrated control room, an operational data collection and a mobile solution for the detailed planning to be deployed at the workshop.
The new integrated software landscape featuring a Portuguese interface will substitute a large number of solutions in various departments of the company and promise a high level of efficiency and transparency over all the processes.
PSIpenta suite also has a unique feature which provides the daily, automated compression algorithms in the rough planning which assures a maximum of timeliness while allowing an active change management.
The execution of the solution is scheduled in two phases with the first operations scheduled to begin by the end of this year while the conclusion of the project is scheduled for the third quarter of 2013.
The company manufactures its own models and variations in the automobile and commercial vehicle segment for the South American and African markets.
