American meat processor Monogram Foods will invest $36.5m to expand the production operations at its Martinsville facility in Virginia.
The 54,000ft2 expansion will create 100 jobs by July 2015, while 100 more jobs will be added over the period between 2015 and 2016.
Commenting on the expansion, Monogram Foods chairman and CEO Karl Schledwitz said: "The workforce in Martinsville is outstanding and that's a key reason why we continue to grow our food manufacturing operations here."
The expansion will be funded in part by a $400,000 grant from the Governor's Opportunity Fund and $835,000 from The Virginia Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission.
Monogram Snacks Martinsville, which was acquired by the company in 2009, produces Wild Bill's, Trail's Best, Hannah's, Bull's, Bass Pro Shop's Uncle Buck's, Team Realtree, Enjoy, Hickory's Best and multiple store brand products.
The company has so far undertaken three plant expansions and tripled employment capacity.
