Wabco, a tier-one supplier to the commercial vehicle industry, has extended its agreement with Ford Otosan, a Turkish joint venture formed by Ford Motor and Ko, adding the supply of its air compression technology for heavy duty trucks.
As part of the agreement, the tier-one supplier will be responsible for the delivery of its c-comp air compressor with integrated clutch for series production in 2015 for integration into Ford Otosan's current and new platforms of heavy duty trucks.
Featuring compact compressor design, Wabco's c-comp also supports engines that comply with future EURO VI emission standards.
Wabco has been supplying various braking, air management and electronic suspension technologies and systems to support series production of Ford Otosan's trucks from over last ten years.
Ford Otosan, which exports heavy duty trucks to about 30 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa, accounted for 60% of Turkey's overall commercial vehicle exports in 2012.
