Two classes of students, one from the U.S.A., and one from China met up to attend a circus in the city of Luoyang on June 12. Students from Logan Middle School (La Crosse, Wisconsin state) and students from No. 2 Foreign Language Middle School (Luoyang city,Henan province) watched the Sui Tang Circus Legend, a professional circus performance held in a Luoyang's circus theater. The event was part of a cultural exchange program and students learned about Luoyang culture and history through watching the show.
Luoyang and La Crosse are sister cities who maintain good relations with each other. A group of US students come to Luoyang every summer and in return, a group of Chinese students visit La Crosse every winter.
Students from Logan Middle School come to live in the family homes of the students of No. 2 Foreign Language Middle School. They study, live and get to know each other in order to understand and experience local life in Luoyang.
