The laser is projected from the rooftop of the Standard Hotel where it emits seven beams of high powered laser light. These beams are projected over areas heavily affected by the hurricane.

This exhibit of light is aimed to symbolize hope and round up continuous support to the communities that were left in disarray. Yvette’s laser display is visible for up to 35 miles from its starting point. Despite its significant range, the lasers used only a small amount of power, approximately 24 amps or the equivalent of two hairdryers.
