Dozens of Chinese tai chi masters recently demonstrated different schools onstage at a news conference for the World Tai Chi Forum in Beijing.
The four-day forum will kick off on April 8 in Sanya city's Nanshan Mountains Culture Tourism Zone in tropical Hainan province.
The annual event will become an exchange platform for practitioners from home and abroad that will accelerate tai chi's global development.
Organizers are calling for papers from around the world on such themes as tai chi's essence and its relationship to longevity. The committee will invite the most exceptional papers' authors to the forum.
The event will also host online voting and an award ceremony for the 100 most excellent tai chi experts.
And, of course, masters will perform and train disciples at the forum.
