Posco Would Raise Its Export Prices HRC and CRC

According to report, South Korean steelmaker Posco would raise its export prices for hot rolled coils (HRC) and cold rolled coils (CRC) e to Japan for May to July shipments by about 5,000~7,000/ton. Posco plans to adjusted the rise of its integrated mill from current limited output but it will only increase the sales for domestic market instead of foreign market.

Posco has raised the price about 5000/ton for February ~ April shipments. The major exporters to Japan including Posco and China Steel Corp. both lifted up the export prices which may lead to Japanese mills to raise its domestic HRC and CRC prices. Taiwan’s China steel Corp also announced earlier it lifted up the prices by additional 10,000~12,000 /ton for February to July shipments.
