World Steel Said That The Demand of Global Steel Would Increase by 2.9% in 2013

World Steel said that the global steel demand would rise by 2.9% to 1.454 billion tons in 2013. Furthermore, it would grow by another 3.2% to 1.5 billion tons in 2014.

Also, World Steel predicted that China’ steel demand would increase by 3.5% to 669 million tons this year and rise another 2.5% to 686 million ton in 2014. Meanwhile, the US’s steel demand is expected to increase by 2.7% and 2.9% to reach 99.30 million tons and 100 million tons in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
