Peru Amounted to 634,343 Long Tons Decreasing 13.9 Percent

In December 2012, iron ore production in Peru amounted to 634,343 long tons (644,522 mt), decreasing 13.9 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and up 17.7 percent compared to November 2012, according to Peru's Energy and Mining Ministry.

In the whole of 2012, the country's total iron ore production was 6.68 million long tons (6.8 million mt), marking a fall of 4.7 percent compared to the previous year.
