Overview of Ukraine’s Trade in 2015

In 2015, Ukraine’s imports & exports volume was USD 75.64 billion, down 30.2% by year according to Ukraine's Customs data. The exports volume was USD 38.13 billion, down 29.3% and imports volume was USD 37.5 billion, down 31.0%. The trade surplus was USD 630 million. The trade deficit was USD 470 million in the same period of last year.

In December, Ukraine’s imports & exports value was USD 6.42 billion, down 24.8% by year. Exports value was USD 3.36 billion, down15.2% and imports value was USD 3.06 billion, down 33.2%. The trade surplus was USD 300 million. The trade deficit was USD 620 million in the same period of last year.

In 2015, imports & exports value of 2015 between Ukraine and China was USD 6.17 billion, down 23.7%. Ukraine’s exports value was USD 2.4 billion, down 10.3%. It accounted for 6.3% of Ukraine’s total exports, up 1.3%. Ukraine’s imports from China reached USD 3.77 billion, down 30.3%. It accounted for 10.1% of total imports, up 0.1%.

Ukraine’s trade deficit with China was USD 1.37 billion in 2015, down 49.9%.China is the fourth deficit source for Ukraine.

Up to December, China has become the third largest market for Ukraine’s exports and the third largest import source for Ukraine.
