The Chinese steelmaker Baosteel released its financial result for the first quarter of this year. In the first quarter of this year, Baosteel realized sales operating revenue of RMB46.436 billion, decreasing by 2.1% year on year and the company posted a net profit of RMB1.628 billion, soaring by 33.3% year on year. In the given period of time, the company’s output of crude steel totaled 5.799 million tons; that of pig iron was at 5.541 million tons and that of finished steel was at 5.458 million tons.
