NOA,Has Acquired The PRISM Name,Database,Goodwill&Intellectual Property Rights From Owner

Neil Osment Associates (NOA), a business packaging consultancy, has acquired the PRISM name, database, goodwill and intellectual property rights from owner Simon Southern

PRISM is a market research and strategic consulting packaging service specialist.

In a statement, NOA said that this acquisition brings together Prism’s services alongside the “tactical lead generation and sales support services provided by NOA”.

It added: “As a result, the new team can provide a fully integrated consultancy service from the formulation of business plans and investment strategies, through prospect engagement and on to new client acquisition.”

NOA was formed 10 years ago by Neil Osment, after a 20 year career within the paper and plastic packaging industry, and has a team of 5 staff offering these business development services.

Some of its clients include Smurfit Kappa, Saica and GWP Packaging.

NOA said that the acquisition will bring a heavy focus on the board-based packaging industry, with a strong focus on corrugated and folding carton companies.

Southern has entered into a two-year consultancy agreement with NOA, allowing him to continue being intimately involved in all PRISM projects, while enabling NOA the opportunity to provide service support to these projects, where appropriate.

It is envisaged that the NOA team will progressively take over management of the PRISM projects over the next two to three years.
