Tang Eng, one of the major stainless steel producers in Taiwan released its list prices for May
The company decided to cut its list prices for 300 grades, 201 grades and 202 grades by NT$3,000/ton, NT$400/ton and NT$1,500/ton respectively.
Tang Eng stated that the price cut is mainly to reflect lower nickel prices.
In fact, the company’s input costs have increased recently due to higher ferrochrome prices; however, Tang Eng still decided to cut prices due to price competition against the low-priced import
