American Steel Wire Producers Have Postponed Their Price Increases Due to Christmas

American steel wire producers have postponed their price increases due to Christmas. However, they are going to hike the price by around US$11/ton after reopening steel market.

The US producers expect the price of order could soar up by US$28~US$33/ton for January with strong scarp prices.

For the steel wire import, the quotation from China is not expected to decline as a result of few inquiries during Christmas holiday. The export price from China to the US could remain around US$628~650/ton after holiday.

Nevertheless, the Chinese suppliers would re-consider decreasing their quotations based on actual purchasing.
