Reportedly, Japanese JFE Steel planned to raise its domestic prices for construction steel products by 15,000 yuan/ton for April contracts.
It's learned that the price rise will be mainly applied to the commodity grade plates, pipes and tubes and H beams for shipments made to specific construction projects.
Meanwhile, Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corp. (NSSC) earlier announced to hike its domestic prices of wire rods, bars, hot rolled coils and coated steel sheets by 5,000 yuan/ton for February shipments.
