The US Rebar Imports in February Decreases by 33.4% Year on Year

The US rebar imports totaled 66,950 tons in February, decreasing by 33.4% year on year and falling by 36% from a month ago, according to data released by the US International Trade Commission (ITC).

The country’s import values generated by rebar totaled US$40.7 million in February, falling by 34.35% month on month and decreasing by 38.5% year on year.

In February, Turkey was the largest rebar exporter to the US with 43,648 tons; Mexico was the second largest one with 20,334 tons and Dominica was the third largest one with 2,815 tons.

In the first two months of this year, the country’s rebar imports totaled 171,624 tons, decreasing by 21.55% year on year.
