It’s reported that Korean Posco Specialty Steel (Posco SS) announced to leave its domestic prices for its austenitic stainless wire rod and bar unchanged for March. Market insiders pointed out that the country’s demand for special steel from end users including automotive, heavy industries and shipbuilding sectors has kept sluggish since the second half of last year. According to statistics released by the Korean Iron & Steel Association (KOSA), the country’s production of special bar totaled 2.4 million tons in 2012, falling by 8% year on year.
