From the Russian passenger car sales structure of the first quarter in 2013, the proportion of cross-cars and SUV was 36% while in the same period in 2012, the accounting was 30.3%.
The highest-selling models were compact SUV, of 142,440 units, accounting for 24.7% (an increase of five percentage points). The sales of the top five models of Renault Duster, Chevrolet Niva, Lada 4 × 4, Nissan Qashqai, Hyundai i × 35, the five vehicle sales accounted for more than 40%. Overall, the compact SUV sales grew 25.2%, higher than other types of vehicles. According to statistics, Sales of in size and full-size SUV up 9.8%, 4.5%, after replacement, sales of Mitsubishi Outlander was 22.7%, while Toyota Land Cruiser Prado accounted for 11.2%.
Sales of SUV recorded a new rank, which thanks to the potential customer's choice of the Class B and Class C vehicles, share of the first quarter of the Class B car market was 32.1%, while share of the C-class car market was 19.8%, in 2012 over the same period the share was 36.5% and 21.5%, respectively.
