Salzgitter Announced That ILG Is Raising Its Heavy Plate Prices by EUR 30 Per Tonne

Salzgitter announced that Ilsenburger Grobblech GmbH (ILG) is raising its heavy plate prices by EUR 30 per tonne for all new product sales.

It said "The necessary price increase reflects the rising costs of raw materials and the resulting unsatisfactory earnings."

The release added ILG's order intake has picked up notable momentum in recent weeks on the back of already satisfactory capacity utilization Among other factors, this development was attributable to steel traders replenishing their stocks in the run up to the new year, the still relatively good capacity utilization of regular customers from energy-related consumer sectors (tank construction, boiler and container construction, wind power), and widening the range of ILG's delivery program to include plate thicknesses of up to 175 mm and a unit weight of 28 tons."
