According to the data released by Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in August this year Ukraine exported $309.5 million worth of semi-finished steel products, while imports of these products totaled $6.08 million in value.
One of the main importers of Ukrainian semi-finished steel in August was Egypt, with a total value of $59.5 million.
In the January-August period of the current year, Ukraine exported $3.339 billion worth of semi-finished steel products, with imports totaling $42.6 million.
In July this year, Ukraine had exported $382.9 million worth of semi-finished steel, with imports of such products reaching a value of $3.9 million.
