Ukrainian Subsidiary of Global Steel Giant Arcelormittal,up 12.6 Percent in 2012

In 2012, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 6.419 million mt, up 12.6 percent year on year.

In addition, in 2012 ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered a 13.2 percent increase year on year in its finished steel output to 5.592 million mt. During the period in question, pig iron production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 14.6 percent year on year to 5.610 million mt.

Meanwhile, in December alone, crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 0.5 percent to 550,500 mt, output of finished steel went up by 3.3 percent to 483,100 mt, and production of pig iron moved up by 1.8 percent to 486,400 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
