It is reported that Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless (NSSC), the largest stainless steel producer in Japan announced to raise its list prices for austenitic cold rolled coils (CRC) by 10,000 yuan/ton for February contracts due to weak yen so far.
However, NSSC decided to keep its base prices of 300 series stainless CRC unchanged for February contracts but is adding ¥10,000/ton to its alloy surcharge.
Meanwhile, the climb in chrome prices will allow NSSC to add ¥5,000/ton to its alloy surcharge for ferritic grades and another ¥5,000/ton to base prices, respectively.
However, NSSC does not reveal its CRC list prices at this moment.
