The Export Values of South Africa's Base Metals in May,Falling by 6.5% Month on Month

According to data released by the South African Revenue Service, South Africa’s export values of base metals and articles thereof totaled ZAR8.1 billion in May, falling by 6.5% month on month.

In May, the country’s import values of base metals and articles thereof totaled ZAR4 billion.

In the first five months of this year, the country’s exports values of base metals and articles thereof amounted to ZAR38.5 billion, decreasing by 1.1% year on year. The import values of the mentioned products were at ZAR19.6 billion, increasing by 21.7% year on year.
