Turkey imported 33,752 tons of stainless steel flat products in March, rising by 18.9% from a month ago and increasing by 6.8% year on year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). In March, the country’s import revenues generated by stainless steel flat products totaledUS$83.9 million, rising by 15.1% month on month but falling by 3% year on year. Meanwhile, Turkey’s imports of stainless steel flat products amounted to 91,216 tons in the first quarter of this year, down by 0.5% year on year. In the given period of time, the country’s import values generated by stainless steel flat products totaled US$228.2 million, falling by 6.8% year on year.
