China's PPI Decreases 1.4 Percent Year on Year,CPI Increses 2.5 Percent

In December last year, China's producer price index (PPI) decreased by 1.4 percent year on year and was unchanged month on month, according to data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on January 9. Meanwhile, in December Chinese industrial producers' purchase prices were down 1.4 percent year on year and were unchanged from the previous month.

In 2013, China's PPI was down 1.9 percent and Chinese industrial producers' purchase prices were down 2.0 percent, both on year-on-year basis.

In addition, in December last year, China's consumer price index (CPI) was up 2.5 percent year on year and up 0.3 percent month on month.
