France’s exports values of basic steel products and ferroalloy totaled €2.4 billion in the first quarter of this year, falling by 11.8% year on year, according to data released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry. In the given period of time, the country’s export values of steel pipes and tubes totaled €528 million, remaining unchanged; those of cold rolled steel strips were at €123 million, keeping stable; those of cold drawn wires were at €99 million, falling by 8.3%; those for cold rolled steel bars were at €86 million, decreasing by 20.2% and those of metal structure and parts were at €128.5 million, down by 21.7%, all compared to those in the same period of a year ago.
