THE dollar is trading near $US1.046 heading into the start of the domestic trading day.
At 6.30am AEDT, the Aussie was trading at $US1.0458, little changed from yesterday's local close of $US1.0455.
During the overnight offshore session, the currency moved between a low of $US1.0443 and a high of $US1.048.
In economics news today, Reserve Bank of Australia governor Glenn Stevens is due to speak at the Australian Securities & Investments Commission annual forum in Sydney.
