AGI reported that trade unions Fim, Fiom and Uilm announced flash strikes on Monday evening following ILVA management's decision to halt its cold forming facilities.
Unions described ILVA's decision as "a reprisal" targeting workers.
Cisl union secretary Raffaele Bonanni argued that closing the Taranto steelworks would stifle employment locally while jeopardizing steel production nationwide
ILVA's decision came in response to Courts' impounding of supplies.
